Discover Acacia

Yes, students from all faculties (such as Law, Medicine, Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music etc)  are welcome to be part of our Acacia Family!

All incoming first-year undergraduate NUS students in AY 2026/2027 are welcome to apply to Acacia College, regardless of faculty or technical background. Application can be done either alongside or after the NUS admission application. Note that admission to Acacia College requires acceptance into an NUS undergraduate degree programme. No prior experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or other technology fields is necessary. Acacia College courses are designed to be accessible for students from all academic backgrounds.   

Like the other Residential Colleges, Hostels, and Houses, our resident population is also split roughly evenly, with about a 50‑50 ratio of male to female residents.

At Acacia College, we place emphasis not only on technological learning and innovation, but also on the importance of human connection in everyday life.

While we equip our students with future‑ready digital skills, we are equally committed to fostering meaningful interactions, building strong community bonds, and nurturing the interpersonal qualities that help our residents thrive both personally and professionally.

We enjoy a vibrant student life in Acacia College. Our community is supported by 38 Student Interest Groups, covering a wide range of areas including Arts & Culture, Sports, and Enrichment activities such as Board Games, Coffee Networks, and the A.I. Society.

We also organise regular events for our residents, such as Reading Club sessions, hackathons, and symposiums.

In short, there’s something for everyone here!

Acacia College will offer a vibrant living-and-learning experience. Acacia College features four themed community spaces at the heart of our residential experience. These thoughtfully designed rooms provide shared facilities where students can relax, showcase their talents, and connect with peers. They foster a supportive environment through social, educational, and cultural interactions that help build our vibrant community. You'll have the opportunity to help shape and customize these spaces to reflect our collective interests and values.
