Application process

If you are an incoming first-year undergraduate at NUS in AY2026/2027, you are eligible to apply for Acacia College.
 You may submit your application alongside or after your NUS admission application. However, admission into Acacia is contingent on your acceptance into an undergraduate degree programme at NUS.

Who can Apply

If you are an incoming first-year undergraduate at NUS in AY2026/2027, you are eligible to apply for Acacia College. 
Incoming first-years can submit your application alongside or after your NUS admission application. However, admission into Acacia is contingent on your acceptance into an undergraduate degree programme at NUS.

Who are we looking for?

First-Years
  • Genuine interest in Acacia’s living and learning experience and mission. 
  • Commitment to engaging in all aspects of the residential programme. 
  • Enthusiasm for co-curricular and residential life activities. 
  • One Short essay and one *video (mp4 format preferred) submission outlining your motivation for joining Acacia College. 

*A simple video introducing yourself and why you want to join the Acacia Family is enough. You should also briefly share your strengths, weaknesses, and how you can contribute.

Important Notes

This is the only application window for the year. Incoming first-years should apply even without an NUS offer yet.

Residential College Scholarships (Application for AY2026/2027)

Application Period
Start: Monday, 9 March 2026, 09:00 SGT
End: Thursday, 30 April 2026, 23:59 SGT
As there will be only one application window, all current Acacia students (including existing Residential College Scholarship recipients) and prospective students whose college admission applications are still under review are encouraged to submit their applications through the portal during this period.
Students are also encouraged to apply concurrently for University-level Financial Aid Schemes and/or the RC Scholarship while awaiting the outcome of their NUS admission and/or Residential College application.
To be considered for the RC scholarship, applicants generally need to meet the following criteria:

  • Be a full-time undergraduate at NUS and a resident of Acacia College
  • Demonstrate exemplary academic achievements along with active contributions to co-curricular activities (CCA)
  • Have no disciplinary records
Interested applicants are invited to submit their applications through the portal.
Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email starting in late July, please check your inbox regularly for updates.
